Exploring the Planetary Archetypes

Early on, Ra thought astrologers were a likely group of people primed to study Human Design, though he also said that Human Design would put them out of business. There was a movement that saw HD as superior to a horoscope and this engendered a combative style that did little to illuminate the connectedness of this prime element of the HD synthesis.
During the first years, I attended astrology conferences and would talk with many people as well as take class with some of the world-class speakers and teachers who were there. It was a challenge to find a meaningful conversation, or to sum up HD into a succinct topic. I was definitely in the corner to be more impressed with the other than the other was with me!
It was therefore very exciting to begin the dialogue with Hal Bahr, currently the co-host of my Saturday classes and now a CAP (Certified Professional Astrologer). To me, he represented a bridge to this important group of people who in fact are in the same field. Hal will be presenting HD to an astrology conference next year. As many times as I tried, it was never a go for me! Hal and I spoke about having astrologers present the Planets for us, and the roster of notable astrologers came together very quickly for the upcoming workshop with this just super star list of speakers. This seems to be a great healing of the old divide that can integrate this new study (HD) with astrology. Chris McCrae is going to present basic astrology (signs, planets, elements, and modes). She is a grand dame of astrology conferences and it is a real privilege to have her speak to our HD group to give us the key pieces of beginning astrology. We don't use houses (a key interpretative basis of astrology, so I've asked that we skip this), so once we get the introduction of what you need to synthesize and integrate this yourself, we will proceed with the Planets.
We've invited Bettina Gribben to help Hal and me with the Sun, Earth and Moon, because while they have special meaning for astrology, they are central to the work with HD. Bettina is one of the HD stars and it is a great joy for me to listen to her and also dialogue with her and Hal about these prime activators.
We will go on with some of the main ways that astrologers might look at these planetary forces. I am just thrilled to offer this core track into what will likely become a classic for HD long into the future. It is just a great education as we learn to integrate what the revelation mechanics actually give us to work with.
For myself, I still have a goal of having a greater understanding of planets interacting, but that step follows this one. We designers need to have a firm working knowledge of the archetypes. There is no more effective way than to connect the myth into a working symbolic grasp of these prime activators. Here on planet Earth, we get to see that the planets are interfering with the neutrino stream and therefore a conditioning force in our charts and lives.
At the start of studying Human Design, you are often guided toward conclusions. If you are in observation mode, the interaction with another person might teach you something about the chart. When I look at a chart, while details show so much, the first place I go is to the undefined centers. That's the most likely place where conditioning could have left some disturbances that might be habitual and dysfunctional behavior.
What that says is that I rarely get into such advanced study as the Planets as an element. However, that's why it's so exciting to me to have more knowledgeable people than I give us the bigger picture. Don't miss! Sign up today while the early bird special is on!
